This course, certified by EAL or City & Guilds, is aimed at electricians and plumbers working in the building trade who require a working knowledge of the ways electrical installations in dwellings can affect the building’s construction.
This course aims to assist the candidate in achieving compliance with the relevant Building Regulations (which are a legal requirement). If you are working on any electrical installation that can affect the construction of a building, this course will give you the expertise to ensure you’re work is both safe and legal.
It will cover all the relevant parts of the building regulations; A, B, C, D, E, F, H, J, K, L, M, P, Q, R and Doc 7, which tradesmen working in the domestic market place will need to comply with, including:
• The purpose of the regulations
• The enforcement of the regulations
• The requirements of the contractor and tradespeople
All entrants need to have an understanding of the requirements for domestic dwellings and an amount of domestic buildings knowledge.
Exam and assessment
All candidates are required to complete an online exam, which lasts approximately 40 minutes, and on completion will receive either a Level 3 EAL / City and Guilds certificate that will demonstrate their understanding of the UK Building Regulations for Electrical Installations in Dwellings.
